Sherwood Pines

Immersed in Robin Hood history and surrounded by statuesque pine trees, Sherwood Pines is set within 3,300 acres of Nottinghamshire woodland and is packed with activity trails, play areas, bike hire, wild running and mountain biking trails. It’s diverse and family friendly environment makes it the perfect location for our event in December.

We have something for everyone with our sprint and standard duathlons, 10km trail run and family 1 mile events to choose from.

Family 1 Mile

5km Trail Run - NEW for 2025!

10km Trail Run

The Festive 10km is a fabulous trail run before the party season and is suitable for anyone over the age of 15 years. The new 5km is suitable for anyone over the age of 11.

The Festive Family Mile is open to any children 3-14. An accompanying adult can run for free with their child on the Santa 1 mile.

Cani-cross

This event is Canicross friendly and we allow one controlled dog per runner.

Start Times

Family 1 Mile - 9.15am

10km - 9.45am

10km Cani-crosss - 9.50am

Timing

There will be Live Chip-Timing through Timing Up North.

The Finish

There will be a Medal, Event Merchandise, mince pies, chocolates and a drink for all finishers.

Finishers of the Family Mile get a Medal, drink and selection box.

T-Shirt Option

There is the option to purchase an Event T-Shirt for £12 when you sign up.

Parking

There is a subsidised car parking charge on site for the event which is paid after the event, at the Forestry England pay machines.
