WENTWORTH CASTLE TRAIL RUNS 2025

We are super excited be making our first appearance at the fantastic Wentworth Castle Gardens on WEDNESDAY 11th June 2025 with 5km and 10km Trail Runs and the event will be supported by Merrell.

The event takes place in the evening so we have the venue to ourselves and it is a perfect mid-week training run/race!

Distances

Choose between a 5km or 10km trail run. The 5km is perfect for first timers and the 10km is great for those looking for a beautiful trail challenge.

The 5km is for anyone over the age of 11 and the 10km is for those aged 15+.

Wentworth Castle Gardens

Wentworth Castle Gardens is South Yorkshire’s only Grade I-registered landscape, encompassing a formal garden, historically important monuments and a folly. The estate extends to 500 acres of rolling parkland with landmarks including the Rotunda and Serpentine Bridge as well as ancient woodland. There is also the stunning Stainborough Castle which was completed by Thomas Wentworth in 1731, this gothic folly is a great spot to enjoy a picnic beneath medieval-style turrets.

Merrell

Merrell will be joining us for a shoe demo and you can run in a pair of trainers for free. This is a perfect opportunity to try out a new running shoe.

Cani-cross

This event is Canicross friendly and we allow one controlled dog per runner.

The Finish

All finishers will get a Medal, Merchandise, snack & drink.

There is the option to purchase an Event T-Shirt for £12 when you sign up.

The event has LIVE chip-timing with Timing Up North.
