NORTHUMBERLAND EPIC CYCLE SPORTIVE 2025 - CHARLTON HALL

Charlton Hall near Alnwick is the venue for the NORTHUMBERLAND EPIC CYCLE SPORTIVES on 19/7/25. This fabulous hotel is set within a private 150-acre country estate and enjoys uninterrupted scenic views and access to the Northumberland Country road network.

There will be a 100 Miler taking in Alnwick, Wooler, Rothbury and the Winters Gibbet, a 100km Ride taking in Alnwick and Rothbury and a 50km Ride around the roads surrounding Alnwick.

We have routes for all abilities and the 50km if perfect for those new to cycling and looking to take on their first challenge. Our 100km ride is our most popular event which is suited to novice and experienced riders alike. For those looking for a challenge, we have our 100 mile cycle for intermediate to experienced riders.

The Highway Code must always be adhered to and cycle hats must be worn.

E-bikes can be used for any of the rides.

Feed Stations

There is a feed station for the 100km and 100 mile cycle sportives and there is an additional feed station 100 mile cycle sportive. The feed stations include drinks, pastries, cakes, chocolate and sweets.

There is public toilets along the route.

Start Times

Riders can start any time between 7.00-8am

The Finish

All finshers will get a Medal and a Pulled Pork/Veggie Roll at the Hotel as well as a Wild Deer Buff.

Age Restrictions

Due to the event being on open roads, there is a minimum age of 17 to participate.

Parking & Accommodation

Parking is free at the Hotel and there will also be Food, Drink and Accomodation available for all entrants.

Support

There will be First Aid throughout the Event as well as a sweep van for any rider unable to complete their ride.
