THE PRIORY 100KM ULTRA

Get ready for 100km of WILD North East coastline!

The Priory 100km Ultra takes runners on an unforgettable journey along the spectacular Northumberland coastline, starting near Bamburgh Castle and finishing at the magnificent Tynemouth Priory.

Along the way, you’ll pass iconic landmarks including Beadnell Harbour, Dunstanburgh Castle, Craster Village and Warkworth Castle, taking in beautiful beaches, historic villages and stunning coastal scenery.

The final stretch takes you through Seaton Sluice, Whitley Bay and Cullercoats, before an unforgettable finish through the gates of Tynemouth Priory.

EVENT DISTANCE

100km of stunning Northumberland Coastline!

ROUTE & TRANSPORT

The Priory 100km Ultra is an A-to-B event, starting in Bamburgh and finishing at Tynemouth Priory.

Runners can book a shuttle bus from the finish area (Tynemouth) to the start in Bamburgh or make their own travel arrangements.

A bag-drop facility will be available at registration, with bags transported to the finish. There will also be an additional bag-drop option for runners who wish to access a bag at Feed Station 3, at Druridge Bay Country Park.

FEED STATIONS

There will be 6 well-stocked feed stations along the route:

1. Low Newton
2. Boulmer
3. Warkworth Beach
4. Druridge Bay Country Park
5. Newbiggin-by-the-Sea
6. Blyth

The feed stations will include VOOM Bars, VOOM Hydration, fruit, sweets, chocolate and savoury food and snacks to help keep you fuelled throughout your 100km adventure.

MANDATORY KIT LIST

All runners must carry a backpack containing the following:

• Water and fluids
• A fully charged mobile phone with emergency contacts saved
• Food and/or energy gels
• A headtorch if you expect to finish after 9pm
• A lightweight jacket suitable for the conditions

Please ensure you have all mandatory kit with you for the duration of the event. We will be carrying out checks at registration.

BAG DROP

A bag-drop facility will be available at the start in Bamburgh, with bags transported to the finish at Tynemouth Priory.

There will also be a separate bag-drop option for Feed Station 3 at Druridge Bay Country Park, allowing runners to access their own supplies during the event.

Please follow the event instructions for bag labelling and drop-off arrangements.

START TIMES

Start times are allocated according to expected finishing time:

• 6:00–6:30am: Runners expecting to take longer than 15 hours
• 7:00–7:30am: Runners expecting to finish in under 15 hours

Please arrive in good time for registration and your allocated start window.

CUT-OFF TIME

The event has an overall cut-off time of 24 hours.

TIMING & TRACKING

All runners will be tracked throughout the event, allowing friends and family to follow their progress and see how they’re getting on along the route.

Live tracking information will be provided closer to the event.

THE FINISH

You’ve taken on 100km of incredible coastline, now it’s time to celebrate!

All finishers will receive:

• A metal event medal
• Exclusive Priory merchandise
• Food and drinks at the finish

• Tynemouth 61 Guest House - A guest house on Front Street offering a more personal, relaxed option for your stay in Tynemouth.

• Riley's Fish Shack - A Tynemouth favourite serving locally sourced, seasonal fish and seafood in a spectacular setting at King Edward's Bay.
