WILD DEER TRAIL RUNS @ THORESBY PARK 2024

WILD DEER EVENTS will make their first visit to THORESBY PARK, near Sherwood Forest, in October 2024.

This magnificent estate has been the home of SBR Events for 9 years but the Longhorn in April 2024 was their last event at the venue. We are delighted that we will be taking on the Trail Running @Thoresby and will be hosting a 5k, 10k & 1/2 Marathon for our inaugural event on 6/10/2024.

Half Marathon

The 5k is for anyone over 11 years, the 10k and 1/2 marathon for anyone over 15 years.

Thoresby Park

The park has been in the Pierrepont Family for over 400 years and is home to a stunning 17th-century mansion, a world-renowned art collection, and over 1,000 acres of fabulous parkland. Theres also some Wild Deer as well as the famous long-horned cattle.

Ideal for runners of all fitness levels the Estate is fairly flat so the 5k & 10k will suit first timers to trail running or those wanting a step up from Parkrun.

Cani-cross

This event is Canicross friendly and runners can run with up to 2 dogs as long as they are controlled. There will also be a separate start time for Canicross.

Nordic Walkers

Nordic Walkers are more than welcome at our event.

10km - 9.45am

5km - 10am

There will be a separate start time for Canicross runners which will be confirmed in the Event Information Email.

Timing

There will be Live Chip-Timing through Timing Up North.

The Finish

All Finishers will be rewarded with Wild Deer Merchandise (socks, buff or coffee tumbler), a Medal, snack and a soft drink.

T-Shirt Option

There is the option to purchase an Event T-Shirt for £10 when you sign up.

There is free parking on site for all participants.
