PRUDHOE MINERS ROAD RACES - 2KM, 5KM & 10KM RUNS 2025

We are delighted to be returning to Prudhoe Town this summer with the popular Prudhoe Road Races! 

We are working in conjunction with Prudhoe Town Council and Prudhoe Town Football club to bring you this road closed event which will take place on Sunday 24th August 2025 at 9am. 

The new flatter 5km & 10km routes that were well received last year will start & finish at Prudhoe Town Football Club and will be out and back through Low Prudhoe Industrial Estate.

The PB potential courses are a great training run/fitness test for anyone doing the Great North Run 2 weeks later and the 5km is perfect for absolute beginners or those looking for a fast time.

Event Distances:

2km - Children aged 8 - 11

5km - Anyone aged 11+

10km - Anyone aged 15+

Due to the road closures, there is a 90 minute cut off time for the 5km and 10km races.

Both 5km & 10km will be accurately measured and thus will appear on your Power of 10.

Cani-cross

Please note that this event is NOT Cani-cross friendly.

Start Times

9.00am 5km & 10km

9.05am 2km

Timing

There will be Live Chip-Timing through Timing Up North.

The Finish

All 5KM & 10KM Finishers will be rewarded with a Medal & Wild Deer Merchandise as well as a Coffee/Tea and Breakfast roll.

All 2km Finishers will get a Medal, Merch, a snack & a drink.

T-Shirt Option

There is the option to purchase an Event T-Shirt for £12 when you sign up.

Parking

Due to road closures, there is limited parking at Prudhoe Football Club, anyone parking there will not be able to leave until the event finishes. Please park at Eastwoods Park Car Park or nearby roads or at Aldi at Low Prudhoe Industrial Estate.
